Ms. Marjorie Johnson, the Democratic nominee for South Carolina Secretary of State, will speak at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, September 6, 2010 at Winthrop University. Her speech will be held in Plowden Auditorium in the Withers Building, located at the corner Eden Terrance and Oakland Avenue in Rock Hill.
This event is free and open to the public. All are welcome. It is sponsored by the John C. West Forum on Politics and Policy at Winthrop University. The West Forum is a nonpartisan initiative dedicated to promoting civic engagement in South Carolina.

The Fort Mill Democratic Forum will be meeting on Monday, September 13, 2010, 7pm at the Towne Tavern which is located at 2000 Highway 160 in Fort Mill. Guest speaker will be Tom Elliott, Democratic Candidate for S.C. Commissioner of Agriculture. The meeting includes a self-pay dinner at 6:30pm. All are very welcome and encouraged to bring some canned food items such as stews, hearty soups or meat for the community outreach center - A Place for Hope.
